A FEW TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR NEW DETOX METHOD
I had been trying to lose weight and get into shape for over a year. dieting and sometimes even working out/aerobics twice a day!!!! no results. nothing
was working. i was frustrated.

I had worked with JC before and learned of his new studio and began working out with him again.

I was having some minor success after a few weeks, but not where I wanted to be so we talked about it. He told me he wanted me to try this nutrition
program "detox" as he called it. I guess I seemed pretty desperate, but figured i could do anything for 21 days...couldn't i?

How hard could it be....

He printed out the daily menus and we looked at it.

Breakfast.....all that food?!?!? You've got to be kidding me. I usually only have 1 of those things...how am I going to lose weight if I'm eating more than
before????

He wanted me to trust him.

We went over the foods. If there was something I didn't like, we found a substitute.

He was very understanding and flexible. I really wanted this to work...

It wasn't so much the things I COULD have, but the things I COULDN'T have. No coffee, wine....WHAT??  NO WINE???

No sodas of any kind....not even caffeine free....water or decaf green tea only. Fortunately it was January
and cold out so something warm was nice.

I went food shopping on a Sunday. Bought all my food. Weighed it all out.

Every day I would prepared food the night before for the next day as much as I could. Package it all up
and bring it to the office. I had to eat 5 times a day, which I thought would be difficult.

My job is very demanding, I'm a surgeon, so I had to try to do my snacks between surgeries and fit it in....
somehow i managed.

After 1 week I had lost 6 pounds!!!! Wow....and it actually wasn't as hard as I thought to give up the things I normally did. Even my husband was surprised
as to how I followed the plan so closely, without complaining.

I started looking forward to meals. looking at the clock to see when I could eat again....I didn't feel like I was dieting...I was eating.....I even went out to
dinner a few times and just looked at what my menu said I should have that day and tried to stay as close to it as possible....without driving the other
people I was with crazy.

Arlene...no wine....are you pregnant??? NO!!!! just detox....

The entire three weeks went by and a total of 10 pounds later, I am a believer. it's not about dieting, but
about NUTRITION. You would think a doctor knows about nutrition, but they really don't teach that in
medical school.  It's the combination of food. The types of food and what time of day. I was actually
nervous when the program was over that I had to get back to my "normal" lifestyle and do it myself.

I have transitioned well and actually enjoy my breakfast and snacks every day. Something I never did before.

I am aware of what I'm eating and when I should eat it. Don't get me wrong...I've been bad here and there.
Have you tried the new Italian place on 518, Luigi's? gotta go...it's worth the calories....

And I do drink wine again, Re-tox (as i call it) was weird....but overall not a big deal.

I have managed to lose another 4 pounds on my own in a few weeks....not as quickly, but it's a balance.
I want 3 more pounds....

Oh yeah, and I also did my work-outs with JC twice a week and a few on my own every week. Can't forget the work-outs!

For anyone who has tried EVERYTHING and it hasn't worked...this is a program I can definitely live with,
fit into my lifestyle, and not really give up anything. Now that i know what's important....

It's going to be much easier to maintain....

I kept all my menus and feel that at any time, I can always go back for a week or two if i need to get focused again....

I did the 21 day Detox Diet starting the day after New Year’s Day and there is a reason:  You must be serious and fully dedicated to this diet to get the best
results.  That means NO ALCOHOL and careful attention to your diet.  So, my advice is to pick a 30 day time span when you don’t have to travel much for
your job and you are not tempted by social activities.  All that being said, I think this diet is a
really good choice if you are like me and need to take an
extremist’s approach to ultimately end up somewhere reasonable.  I was struggling with empty calorie consumption of alcohol and a very poor diet
consisting mostly of fast food.  While I was not too overweight, I struggled with kick starting a healthy diet and weight loss.  
By deciding to go full speed ahead with the Detox Diet, I lost the pounds I wanted to lose very quickly but also changed my diet forever:   
1) I now read the labels on everything,
2) I’m conscious of spreading out my calories appropriately throughout the day such that my energy level is constant, and
3) I’m aware of the proper balance of carbs, fat, protein and calories.
